We used a beautiful velour, but it can also be great in a waffle, honeycomb or light weight fleece. Done in the appropriate fabric, it’s a great spa robe. Done in a plush fleece or heavy weight polar, and it’s a great warm robe for very cold climates.
Beginner / Intermediate Sewing
After you’ve selected your fabric and you’ve got it on hand, print the pattern out after work or at night, and you can accomplish this in a single day sew on the weekend.
The sample photo was done with a regular sewing machine, but use a serger and get smart professional seams and hems. Use a french seam and bring that level of professionalism up even further.
The sleeves are easy, not set in. The front and back of the sleeves and the correlating armholes are clearly labeled on the pattern. We like to do this for beginners, so they know where to attach the sleeve to the armsythe.
We have a video for the top pockets available on both the free and the paid sites. We have a no frills approach. All of our videos are straight forward and get right to the point. No long drawn out, jabbering on you see from other tutorials you see on YouTube.
